Period tracking

Period tracking, on your terms.

Ova is an Android period and symptom tracker that works without an account. Record what happened, keep your history together and view cycle estimates alongside your own entries.

What can I record in Ova?

You can record period dates, flow, symptoms, moods and notes. Ova also supports selected health measurements and other daily logs. You choose which supported entries to make; you do not have to fill every category to keep a period record.

Period dates and symptom entries describe what you recorded. They are different from future dates calculated by the app.

How do I start tracking?

  1. Set up Ova on your Android device, or use the available restore option if you already have an Ova backup.
  2. Log the period dates you know. Add earlier dates when you have a reliable record of them.
  3. Use the symptom log to record how you feel on a selected date.
  4. Review your calendar and cycle history to find your saved entries.

Check a saved entry if something looks wrong. A record you can verify is more useful than filling gaps by guessing.

Can I use Ova without internet?

Core logging, local history and cycle estimates work on your device without an internet connection. Downloading or updating the app, opening external links and sending a support email require a connection.

Ova does not currently provide cloud sync. A record stored locally is not automatically a backup on another device. See how to save and restore an Ova backup.

Are predicted period and ovulation dates confirmed?

No. Period, fertile-window and ovulation dates are estimates. They may change or be unavailable. Your logged history and the app's estimates should not be treated as the same kind of information.

Ova cannot confirm ovulation or pregnancy and must not be used as contraception. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

What changes as I log more history?

Ova can compare cycle and period lengths when sufficient completed history is available. Supported recurring symptoms depend on relevant repeated symptom logs, rather than simply the number of times you open the app. Read how symptom patterns work.

You can also create a PDF summary of your logged history to review or share.
